Overview:
Beliefs, Values, Perceptions  

 

If one is to truly be persuasive and gain compliance, they must have a good understanding of the person or persons they are trying to get compliance from. Without this understanding most methods and tools do not work. Individuals are inclined to resort to intimidation or demand method of compliance.  

 

In this session, we explore the idea of what beliefs, values and perceptions are, how they impact people’s behaviors and thinking. Participants discover that beliefs and values are the basis of all behavior and thinking. A person's beliefs and values must be addressed to truly motivate and gain compliance for the long term.  

 

Participants will examine their own values and beliefs, attempting to determine their origins so as to better understand them. They will then work with tools that will help them discover other people’s vales and beliefs.  

 

Objective: To have a usable understanding of values and beliefs. Developing a deeper understanding of how they impact communications and motivation.  

 

Results: Participant’s will have new ideas and insights into how they can gain compliance and long term motivation on a regular basis.
