Our philosophy and beliefs...

Harlan H. Goerger..Harlan Goerger

President of H. Goerger & Associates and the National Director of Training for Business Architects.

Harlan has been involved in business and sales from a very early age. Working in the family seed and grain business he was working with customers while in grade school. Taking on large responsibilities at this early age taught him about getting results and what it takes to do so.

With an entrepreneur spirit in his genes, Harlan has always persuade the independent path. The ability to see past the current situation has served him well though out the years.

Some accomplishments that show his ability and what he could do for you are.

  • Taking the family seed business and growing in by some 400% over 3 years. This includes starting an export branch working directly with Japan and Europe buyers.
  • Working with Dale Carnegie Training and building not only a territory to new production heights, but also building a strong Instructor pool and sales force.
  • Working with an industrial firm and growing it some 300% in 4 years while building a strong sales force. Also engineering several innovative applications of technology.
  • Operation of a specialty collector car business from scratch and utilizing the internet to drive National and International business.
  • Co-author of The Selling Gap, Selling Strategies for the 21st Century. A new book that views sales and communication through different eyes and incorporates insights from Persuasion and Influence research.
  • Development of multiple training programs and workshops that have help to achieve many of the above results. All aspects of each program has been field tested with real people in real situations.
  • Has written and published over a hundred articles on sales, management, leadership and personal development.

On a more personal note, Harlan enjoys things mechanical. Figuring out how it works or what makes it work could consume hours.

Harlan enjoys time with his three adult children and seven grandchildren.

Dr. Kevin Hogan - Psychologist and International expert on persuasion and body language. Dr. Hogan has consulted with major corporations, International Banks, even the Polish Government. He is a prolific writer of 19 published books on Persuasion in business and sales.

Dr. Eric Knowles - Psychologist and Retired Professor Eric Knowlesfrom the University of Arkansas. Know Internationally as Dr. Resistance, he has invested the past 20 years researching resistance and why people push back. From his research has come the Omega Strategies in working with resistance.

Dr. Dan Schaefer - Psychologist and Executive Coach. A strong Dan Schaeferbackground in trauma, especially with children, he has developed a strong business coaching top athletes. Many of the Major League Baseball, National Football League, National Hockey League and National Basketball Association top players are his clients. His unique coaching concepts he applies with top athletes are available through us.

Dave Lakhani - Founder of Bold Approach has an interesting Dave Lakhanibackground. Raised in a cult and then leaving as a teenager, he pursued the study of Cult's and persuasion. This deep understanding of group dynamics and influence has put him as an International expert working with such groups as the Billionaire Adventure Club. Dave is also a prolific writer with multiple books published.

There are many others we communicate and work with, just too many to list.

Be assured the methods, concepts and ideas we bring to you have been researched, tested and shown results in the real world.

Philosophy and Beliefs:

  • We believe everyone has potential to be more and do more than they currently are.
  • We believe the biggest barrier for most people is themselves. How they think, how they see themselves, how they limit themselves. Our biggest challenge is to get them out of their own way!
  • We believe with the right thinking coupled with the right skills and understanding, one can change their beliefs and change their outcomes!
  • We believe that "Fear" is the most pervasive element we have to overcome. The challenge is "Fear" comes in so may different forms and is masked by beliefs, perceptions or avoidance.
  • We believe everyone deals with "Fear" in some form or another. The executive, the salesperson, the supervisor, the parent. Thinking, understanding, skills and action can change that "Fear" into a positive.
  • We believe Leaders are continuous learners. Leadership is not about position, it is about action!
  • We believe education or the accumulation of knowledge is important. What is more important is the ability to put that knowledge into action and getting results! The difference is skills and the ability to apply those skills.
  • We believe we can not change anyone. What we can do is provide the knowledge, the direction, the environment and the choices so they can choose to make the changes. This is our foundation for leadership development.
